Hi. I appreciate the roots, blues style of this song though felt the vocals could have been a bit crisper and a bit clearer in the mix, along with some of the instrumentation being a little tidier.
I think the song can work well as a more traditional '60s blue rock song akin to The Animals though, personally, would be looking for a bit more of a modern style for my current music tastes.

Churchy organ sound, Gospel backing vocals and, more importantly, a catchy melody that sticks like glue in the back of your mind. First - my thoughts on the music. Loved your voice. Excellent texture and timbre. The songwriting is really nice. Very melodic and the lyrics are meaningful. Liked the fact that the melody and the vocals are at the forefront of the arrangements and the production. While it's minimalistic as is typical of Country tracks, the composition is somehow more complex and the brief spoken section in the middle is nice touch. Very enjoyable!

It may seem like a famous piece from 30 years ago but originality and experimentation are needed to make a difference. Nice stuff. It's not the type of blues that I tend to program, as I tend to like old style country (guitar-based) stuff, but I also like the sense of humor here. Getting a record label is not easy, despite that a new one seems to pop up every day. Many would want to see some kind of track record, which as a new outfit you can't really provide. On Bandcamp, I find fewer new releases in the blues section than I would think are out there, so I do wonder how much support blues musicians get nowadays, other than the occasional summer festival and small clubs. I do see that you've got more going on here than straight blues, so it would seem that the best avenue would be the general Americana/folk circuit, and try to get established there. We took a listen to "Old Hound Dog." It's a great song and we can certainly hear the blues/rock influence. It's a well produced song and we love it. Blues, countryish and we could sip whiskey while listening to this one in the studio.
